Melodifestivalen
The Melodifestivalen concept has been slightly altered. (Why????) 28 songs have participated in the 6-night extravaganza.
For the 15th* time all the songs have been released on CD, so plenty of fun to be had for the collectors.
(Metronome / WMS 5054196-479329)
I shopped for my MF 2CD at BeaRecords.

MF CDsingles released so far this year are by Magnus Carlsson,  Kirstin Amparo, Dolly Style, Isa, Linus Svenning, Samir och Victor and Jessica Andersson.

* In 2001 a CD with all 10 Melodifestival songs was released some time after the (one show) event took place.
The 32-song multi-night ran from 2002 to 2014. This year there are 28 songs participating.

The official Melodifestivalen CD has been the #1 selling album of the year in Sweden every year since 2007.
In 2004, 2005 and 2006 it was #2, in 2003 it was #4, in 2002 it was #13

MF In the charts
So Melodifestivalen is big business and it makes Lotta Svenska Kronor, but it's good to see a good part of money going to good production of both the TV shows and the records. And a large part of the often recordbreaking televoting revenue always goes to charity, åååååh....
Check out all the updated statistics of modern MF in the 2016 Sweden section.
